let me first specify that i do not have physical access to the machine. a friend of mine just called me and told me that he's trying to access a website on his home computer, www.cyberonics.com . he can access it from his office computer, but not his home computer. of course the first thing i asked was "do you have internet at home? do other website work for you at home?" yes, he does, and yes, they do. unfortunately the problem wasnt fixed that easily.

after that i just draw blanks.. i cant think of anything. any ideas anyone?

Nothing seems unusual about that site. He might have it blocked in his Windows Firewall or IE settings. He could try Mozilla Firefox instead of IE.

    Who's his ISP?

While I was with AT&T, I used to get refused access to sites and would get a Invalid IP message.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?
