Having a problem with .mov

I have a digital camera that made a 40 second .mov file. I want to send this through the internet to my mom, but its 12mb big. Is there a way to convert it to something smaller and so she can just open with a simple player like microsoft media player or etc.? I tried to zip it but htat does nothing more, thanks

Use MP4Cam2AVI and then convert the avi to WMV with windows media encoder or windows movie maker.

or

Use Dr.divx and make a divx avi file.

or

Use Super and make whatever format you like.
