Audio sync on standalone + SVCD prob!

Hi all,

hope someone can help here, this is driving me nuts!

I have an acoustic solutions 551 DVD player.
All VCD's either burned by me or elsewhere has a problem with the voice sync. Voice is in front of the video. (i'm Using Nero 5 +)

VCD's played on either my computer, or another standalone set up works fine.
DVD's etc all play fine, this is the only issue I have.
I took the player back to the retailers, they gave me the benefit of the doubt and gave me a new one.
Problem still remains!

The other standalones which were OK, were using different TV's a pals house, changing TV's is the only thing I haven't tried yet. Anyone got any ideas?

Also,

I am having probs navigating off the menu and playing the files from an SVCD, anyone help with this?

BTW the playa supports all formats. CD, CDRW, DVD, MP3, VCD, SVCD

So same problem on another TV. I reckon the audio buffer is out of spec on this model, or bad material supplied by manufacturers vendor? (R & D oversight perhaps??)

I would be keen to find out if anyone else has this probelm with ALL their VCD's like me, with this, or any another player, before I return it to the shop?

I just bouhgt one of these and have found it pretty good but I have noticed an audio synch problem playing a dodgy vcd from malaysia.

I thought it was probaly just the disc but i havent tried any others yet.

Have you found out anymore?
