  1. I've been trying to use FAVC and get a fatal error when I try to run it. The process creates a work folder and puts 2 files in it, but neither is the .txt file it says it is looking for. There is another file created (one of the two) with the same name but a different extention (sorry, I'm not at home and I can't remember the file name). I try rerunning after renaming the file (by changing the extention) but FAVC just creates a new work folder with the same two files (without the .txt extention). I did load frame net 2 and avisynth, but maybe there is some setup work I need to do before running FAVC. Any ideas to correct this issue?

  2. Sorry. I spelled the tool name wrong in my original post. Maybe I can get a response now. Thanks in advance for your help.

The two files are Title0Info.avs and TitleInfo.bat? Can you open the avs file in virtualdub with no errors? Which version of avisynth do you have installed (2.56a or later is required)? Do you have the most recent version of FAVC - 0.5.0.0?

  4. Thanks for the reply Mr_Odwin. To answer your questions:

    1. Yes, those are the two files that are created in the work folder

    2. I did not try to open the avs file in Vdub (didn't even know I should try). I opened it in Wordpad and it looked like a script. But I don't know anything about the scripting language so I don't have a clue if there's a problem with it. It does have an entry regarding the .txt file at the end of the script (if that helps).

    3. I have the latest version of FVAC and I downloaded avisynth (2.56a). But I have no idea if I loaded avisynth correctly. (Any help there would be appreciated as well.)

I'll try to open the avs file in Vdub (tonight - I'm at work now). Any other suggestions for troubleshooting are greatly appreciated.

99% of the problems with FAVC are actually problems with avisynth. If you can open the avs script in vdub with no problems then we'll know it's not an avisynth related fault.
