    Heya peoples, I need a good guide.. that tells me how to make DVD files (.VOB, .BUP, .INF) into .AVI files and still let the movie have good quality, thanks.

    I've always wondered why a person would want to create an AVI if they have the DVD.

    2) To backup or take on holiday when you've got portable equipment (ie portable DVD players) that play DivX / Xvid. Then you don't need to take either as many disks, or the originals (and risk them getting lost / stolen / damaged).

    3) Because they can.
