  1. Hello my freinds!
I got a problem recenlty with playing the mpeg files in my compiuter. When i am trying to open e mpeg video file, lokks like a opened it but i can not see anything beacuse the the player shows a black image with no sound. I tried mpeg files with all players that i have like jetaudio, real player one. windows media player, etc but the same thing.
I can open avi files, divx files or wmv files or any other video file. The problem is only with mpeg files. Why?!
    Any help? Thanks a lot...

  2. The two main types of mpeg files are mpeg-1 and mpeg-2. Windows only has mpeg-1 decoder upon installation. mpeg-2 decoder normally comes with your graphics card bundle, or the software DVD player with your DVD drive. There are most likely a mpeg-2 CODECs in the tools section on this site too.

  3. Try VLC Media Player. It will play almost anything on your PC, and it's free!

It is important to reconstruct what you did to cause this to happen.

Did you D/L anything from the web or get files from a friend?

Did your A/V or spyware protection give you message?

Did you install any new S/W?

Did you get a blue screen in Windows?

    Please, caps are shouting!
