It's not a new tool in that it hasn't just been released to market, but it's new to this site. I've submitted it as a new tool for consideration and inclusion the "Tools" list.

It was originally launched, judging by the changelog for PC, in May 2005 and has gone through a number of evolutions and names since then.

I was particularly impressed with the description in the overview, and even more so when I saw the price.

    Trials for download from here.

The most recent post I could find in the forum regarding anything from FXHome or EffectsLab (either) was from December 2005 - there have been no less than seven software versions since then, with comprehensive looking changes.

There are also other applications from the same vendors, but I've not taken a look at these (yet).
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

It used to be called AlamDV, and grew out of a simple alternative to after effects that specialised in light sabre and muzzle flash effects. I have an old version on a magazine cover disc somewhere. The improvements seem to be quite extensive since then, although for most users it will be the canned effects that get the most workout.

This is what caught my eye. I'll have to add even more time to my 25 hour day to try this one out! Oh well...
