Hi guys, I am creating a dvd for a friend to play at a birthday party. I don't have a whole lot of experience with the different audio formats that can be used on dvds. It has to be played on a stand-alone dvd player that I won't be able to test it in first to make sure everything is compatible. I am currently working with a DVD compliant MPEG-2 file with Mpeg Layer 2 audio created in Pinnacle Studio 10. I will then use Adobe Encore DVD 2 to make some custom menus and burn the dvd WITHOUT transcoding my MPEG file again. Is there any reason why this wouldn't play on any type of DVD player or why I would want to go with PCM or AC3 instead? Not that this has much to do with the audio but I will be using Verbatim DVD+R's for the project. Any other tips to make my project compatible with the majority of DVD players would be greatlt appriciated. I am sorry if this has been discussed before, but I didn't find a whole lot about making most compatible DVDs possible using the search. Thanks!
