    Hi there,
    I am using TMPGEnc version 2.5 to convert an avi file to a PAL DVD, mpeg2 file. I have ripped the audio using goldwave to a wav. The avi file plays fine.
    When its finished converting, the outputted mpeg2 file is just a black screen but does have sound.
    I've used TMPGEnc for quite a while and have never come across this problem before (usually its video with no audio).
    Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?

    do you see the video if you use the preview in tmpgenc???
    tried change the directshow reader priority? www.videohelp.com/tmpgenc#problems
