  1. Hello everyone. I have been unable to find any info on this problem and have several people give me ideas on what to try, but they don't seem to work. When I try to encode the file below at 23.976 using TMPGEnc Plus, I get this error: Read Error occured at address 00012F40 of module 'TMPGEnc.exe' with 646165E.

I'm trying to put this on a DVD BTW.

    Anyone have any idea why???

You may want to try uninstalling and then re-installing TMPGEnc.

Try checking your avi file for errors.

To expand on the previous comment..Scan with any of the VirtualDub variants...Load the file -> Video -> Scan video stream for errors (or similar phrase) -> Scan.
[edit] Sounds more like a problem with TMPGenc though..Also, have you considered frameserving (via Avisynth or VDub) into any number of encoders (ie: CCE Basic/payware, HCenc/freeware)?

  5. Thanks for everyone's help. I did try scannign for errors and nothing came back as a problem. I eventually just encoded at 29.976 and everything was fine. I'm not sure whats wrong with TMPGEnc. Maybe I will need to reinstall. Thanks again.
