LG RH7800H wont play MPEG

Hi guys.

Does anyone know how to get the LG RH7800H to play mpegs? Ive just bought this machine and it cost a fortune but it doesnt handle mpeg. I find this hard to believe! I installed the most recent firmware that I could find but still nothing. Does anyone have a solution to this for me? Id be so grateful.

Could someone tell me if Im wasting my time posting this question? Should I take the lack of reply to mean that this its just not possible to play MPEG on the LG RH7800H?

I own a RH7521 unit. It playback DivX and DVD/VCD format only. I think the RH7800H is similar except it has a 160gig hard disk.

For MPEG, you need to burn to VCD or author to DVD.

Hi pchan. I was hoping that someone might have a work around. Like a firmware update or something. Up until now, Ive been forced to convert the mpegs into avi's which is so damn time consuming. Oh well.
