Newbie trying the trial version of DVDLab.

    WHAT I WANT TO HAPPEN:
    1. A copyright menu appears with a 10 second timer. If user presses the title button on the remote, he exits the copyright menu immediately and goes to scene selection menu 1 (SSM1).

    2. SSM1 has 6 frames that are linked to 6 chapter points in the video.

    3. User navigates to any frame in SSM1 and starts playback from there.

    4. User decides to exit playback so he presses the title button on the remote control. SSM1 appears.

    MY PROBLEM:
The title button on the remote can only link to a root menu or a movie. Therefore I am only able to link it to the copyright menu or the video. Am unable to link the title button on the remote to SSM1.

    How can I do this?
    Thanks,
    mks

Use the Menu button instead ? It can be linked to any menu.

Are you referring to the "Menu" button on the remote control? If so, how do you get it into the connections window? I only see the First Play and Title in that window.

Right-click on a menu object and select UOPs and Settings from the menu, or use the Menu link on the toolbar to the left of the connections window.

Sorry to be so dense but I don't see any of what you mentioned.

Go to the Connections window. Right-Click on a menu object, and a popup menu will open. Toward the bottom (second last item, I believe) is UOPs and Settings. Click on this and a dialog will open. Here you can set the action for the Menu Button.

To the left of the Connections window is the toolbar. It has the arrow, connection tool etc. One of these is an M in a box. You can use this to link Movies and/or Menus to the Menu button.

This holds true for both DLP 1.x and 2.0, and is covered in the help files under Menu Button.

Open connections window. Rt-clicked menu object. Popup displays:

    Move Objects
    Draw Connections
    -Rename
    -Go there
    Jump Links
    Button Links
    Show Lines
    -Rebuild transition
    -Set menu as root
    Add empty movie
    Add empty menu
    Add empty slideshow

(the items prefixed with a - above are grayed out) There is no "UOP's and Settings" shown.

To the left of the connections window there are only 4 icons:

    Arrow
    +\
    Box\+
    Hand

There is no M in a box shown. I'm using the lowest trial version of DVDLab. Not the Studio version or the Pro version.

    Thanks,
    mks

In that case it may not be supported in your version of DVD Lab. I have only used the Pro version since it was released. As you are running on a trial anyway, I suggest you try the new DLP 2.0.
