    Hi there!

Does anyone know a good way to convert a dvd to a divx 6 file including the menu (as divx 6 supports dvd-like menus)? would be nice to get all the chapters and special features automatically.

    thanks!

No automatic tool out yet. Rip to divx with for example autogk and then make menus with divxmediabuilder.

DVD menus and DivX6 menus aren't that compatible, that there (AFAIK) exist any DVD menu to DivX menu ripper/convereter yet - and I strongly doubt there ever will.
Do you have one of those rare DivX Ultra certified players?

no but i use my pc for playing all kinds of media. divx 6 incl a neat dvd menu atz the size of 1.5gb would be a nice alternative to keep all the dvd images >4.5 gb of size.

    any other ideas?

I played with ratDVD a few months back and my initial impression was that it wasn't for me. I don't know whether later revisions have made the product better or not.

I seem to recall reading that divx converter can be used to do menus in divx 6 - don't know whether it can retain DVD menus though.
    If in doubt, Google it.
