Is there any desk top player that can play RMB or RMVB video files. This seems to be a popular format in the fast east. My relatives keep shipping my grandma videos in these formats which takes me a long time to convert before my grandma can watch it on her TV. Some times the conversion fails after a looong process. I have tried hard but she can never learn how to do it on a computer.

RealPlayer.
If you'd rather use something else (RMVB is a proprietary format of Real's), I believe you can install Real Alternative or a RealMedia splitter and use Media Player Classic, possibly Media Player, or any player capable of using DirectShow filters.
Edit: By 'desk top player,' do you mean a computer player, or a stand-alone, set-top player? There aren't any set-top players out there at the moment that can play Real format (RM/RA to RMVB) media. If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -
Sorry, I mean stand alone table top player. Not using software player on computer.
Thanks for the quick response.
