  1. Hi

I try to read the description of
    TMPGEnc
    TMPGEnc Plus
    TMPGEnc Xpress

Is the only difference about the file format accepted ?
or is there other main differences ?
which one of them would you recommend ?

tmpgenc is free but just a mpeg1 encoder.
tmpgenc plus has the mpeg2 encoder.
tmpgenc xpress supports more input formats and is a more user friendly for newbies.

I would recommend a faster encoder....

    Hi,

All versions of Tmpgenc are slow to encode.

A good (faster) alternative is Mainconcept MPEG encoder.

Just because you're nobody, doesn't mean that you're no good. Just because there's a reason, doesn't mean it's understood. It doesn't make it all right ! (The Specials)

For a more inexpensive solution, check out CCE-Basic.
