I have several divix files (aprox 45 minutes each), and when I convert them to DVD, only 12-22 minutes gets encoded.

I have tried to disable the Author as: DVD (VIDEO_TS) option, but that did not improve anything. The resulting .mpg, and all intermediate .mpa and .mpv files are cut short.

Looking at the resulting movie, it is almost /exactly/ 1/2 the duration of the original. (eg, if I encode a 45-minute file, the result is ~22 minutes)

What it does encode looks and sounds perfect.

I've tried DVD mpeg2enc, and DVD ffmpeg as targets with the exact same end result. I've also tried decoding with both mplayer and Quicktime with the same results as well.

    Steps I take to encode:

    Open ffmpegX
Drag the .avi divix onto "Source Format" (video box shows "mpeg4, yuv420p, 624x352")
Under target, I select DVD ffmpeg preset.
Under the Video tab/button, I select DVD 16:9, and a video size of 720x480
I hit encode and cross my fingers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The entire show does record fine with iDVD's own encoder, however the result looks 'scaled', so would like to use ffmpegX to do the encoding for me first.

    Thanks!

    I have the same problem,
    and still couldn't fix it.

Your source file is an XVID.AVI like mine?

(i think maybe the problem is there...)
