I have a few Divx files which i've been trying to burn to dvd but everytime the subtitles appeared out of the screen. So when i checked it appeared that the clips at the pixel ratio of 704x352 now whats the easiest way to get them to 704x576 wich should be 16:9?
Sorry if there is already a guide about it but searching for changing the pixel ratio didnt come up with alot of usefull results ;/

The subtitles are too low, or disappear off the sides ?
This should encode nicely as 16:9, as it has an aspect ratio of approx 2.00:1 - odd, but workable.
Your subtitle problem, however, comes from either having subs put in the wrong place in the first place, or from the movie being badly cropped (which would explain the odd aspect ratio). If you are putting the subs on yourself, then you have them in the wrong place, and need to use a sub editor or authoing program to fix them. If they are hard codec then you have to reduce the visible image to fit within the overscan area of your TV so they remain visible.
You do not mention what tools or methods you are using, however the best method I have found to address overscan issues is FitCD -> Avisynth -> encoder. If you search the forums for FitCD and Overscan you will find dozens of posts with the solution.Read my blog here.

I was just using ConvertXtoDVD from VSO i had always been using it and this was the first time anything like this appeared.
As for the subtitles, they are from an external .srt file placed 'automatically' by convertx, and they are actually below the screen as you can see the white dots of letters like 'L I etc'
Ill have a look for FitCD and Avisynth then tho, thanksAut viam inveniam, aut faciam. -
As they are external subs, check these two things win ConvertXtoDVD
1. Are you encoding as 16:9 ?
2. Are there settings in the subtitles page to adjust subs position ?Read my blog here.

Yes im encoding as 16:9 (it also automatically tags the input file as 16:9).
And you can select a 'relative' position wich is standard at 90% tried changing it to 85% but didnt have a visible difference.Aut viam inveniam, aut faciam.
