I have D/L some MP3 files and I would like to put them through a graphic equaliser , convert them to WAV so that they will play on any CD player (am I right ) and then burn them. I have Nero 6 and 7 and Audacity with MP3 payer.

Put then through a graphic equalizer if you wish, then use nero to make an audio cd.

Just add your mp3 and nero will convert them automatically, you'll end up with a cd audio (.cda)playable on any cd player.

I am new to all this and I am not sure how to put the files through a equaliser before burning the CD. I can play the MP3 files through real player which has a equaliser.

Load them into an audio application that has an eq tool, adjust as necessary, then save out as wav. Burn to CD from there

  5. Take a look at dBpowerAMP. It costs about $14 to register the PowerPack, but then you can convert from one audio format to another while applying DSP affects like "Graphic Equalizer" and "Volume Normalize".

  6. Goldwave,Nero Wave Editor and Audacity have tools where you can boost frequencies, the EQ's on players only adjust what you hear on the PC.

So If I load it into Audacity for example will the saved files be processed through the equaliser or just as I hear it on the PC.

They will be processed through Audacity's equaliser, which you can listen to as you adjust until you are happy.
