    I'm currently playing back some .avi's on my 16:9 TV using S-VHS out from my Avi Videocard.
    Everything works perfect, just one little snag: Some XVID files can't use the "zoom/aspect ratio" function.

    I've checked them with GSpot and the major differences are:

    "Zoomable":
    Packed bitstream: No | Container: Avi 1.0 | User data: [ISFT] transcode-0.6.14, [USER] XviD0037

    "No zoom":
    Packed bitstream: Yes | Container: Avi 2.0 | User data: [ISFT] VirtualDub, [USER] DivX999b000p, [USER] XviD0038

    I'm playing back these files with (I'm kinda guessing here, since Media Center doesn't have many settings): the ffdshow codec. I have tried unpacking them using MPEG4 Modifer from http://www.moitah.net/ but that didn't matter.

    I've also tried converting the container from AVI 2.0 -> AVI 1.0 (Using VirtualDub MP3) but that didn't work either.

    If someone knows why the zoom doesn't work for some XVID files, please help!

    Oh, sorry. I'm using Windows MCE and also experimenting with Media Portal.
