    Hey guys i am trying to convert an avi file to dvd,

    when using virtual dub MPEG2 1.6.11 i go to open video file select the video and i get this error come up



    Any ideas what is causing this?

    Installed FFDShow and enable the XVID VFW driver should fix that.

    Tried FFDShow but no luck (unless ii've done it wrong)

    Change the AVI to DivX with some fourCC changer - IIRC one of them comes with an XviD build. Google for fourcc changer if you don't have one.

    Ive downloaded Xvid but cant actually work out how to install it!

    Did you download the installation .exe file ( http://www.koepi.org/XviD-1.1.0-30122005.exe )? Just a matter of double clicking the .exe then. Maybe you downloaded the source zip which would need compiling.
