DV follows Rec-601 scalings but with 720x576/480 PAR same as DVD for 4:3 and 16:9.

    720x576/480 25/29.97fps 576i/480i
    with PCM audio 2track 16bit 48kHz, 4track 12bit 32KHz

thanks for reply but I'm new to videos. if you tell these more clear. I will be very happy.
    for example:
which resolution and pixel aspect ratio does my mini dv use before I transfer the video from camera to computer?I have pal mini dv 16:9

in pal dv format :720x576 resolution and 118:81 pixel aspect ratio

but I want to learn how video is recorded to tape?
are they same or different where and how can I learn?
at the same time can you give more information about Rec-601 scalings?

if some one helps me I will be very glad.

PAL DV is recorded at 720 x 576, whether the image is 4:3 or 16:9. NTSC is recorded at 720 x 480, again, for both 4:3 and 16:9

You can add this to the articles list above for some basics.

Key Concept -- pixels aren't square for DV, DVD, HDV (for 1440x1080i 16:9)

CCIR-601 defined the sampling and raster formats originally
This evolved to ITU-R BT.601 which was the basis for DV, DVD, MPeg and SD digital broadcasting.

Don't feel bad I've been around for while and I still barely comphrehend some of the stuff he says.

What's on tape or your computer is an identical copy, if you transfer as DV-AVI. To add, when you transfer there is flag that says this is 16:9 for example if you recodred in 16:9. Once the file is on your computer your software video player will usually respect this flag and adjust the aspect accordingly. Same for DVD....
