Hey, all. I have a standard NTSC mpeg-2 video ready to go for a DVD. The problem is, I'd like to add an audio track without re-encoding either stream--and still have a single file (not *.VOB) playable in, say, Media Player and Winamp. Is that possible? If so, how do I do it?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

What do you mean by "append"? Add more audio at the end, or add another audio track? If the former - hard, but can be done, depending on audio format. If the latter - Most authoring apps should allow you to add audio tracks.

Sorry, "append" was the wrong word. I don't want to add audio to the end, but rather add synched audio to the video. I normally use TMPGEnc, and it does not seem to allow that sort of thing. VirtualDub does, but only for AVI files.

    or
tmpgenc -> file->mpeg tools->multiplexing and think you can add several audio sources(mpeg audio or ac3).

TDA doesn't support >1 audio track, it seems... But here's a list of the authoring apps that do!

The newer TDA 2.0 supports 2 seperate audio tracks.
The older TDA versions only support a so called bilingual audio track. (mono audio track in the left and right channel)
