    Question. You mentioned [framerate x 5] for keyframe interval. Why choose that over the ffmpegX default of 240 for MPEG-4?

    That's a good question. I can only say that's the way it is without any theory after reading hundreds of articles about video compression. Actually, 3ivx (that's stated somewhere at their site) also suggests that you set the keyframe interval to [framerate x 5].
