Have DVD compliant video and audio. Use ImgTool Classic and DVD Dycrypter to burn DVD.
I know that DVD works cos I pull the video to check in WMP before burning.
I have the following error message. I have already tried twice and wasted 2 DVDs.
Please let me know what the error means. Thanks

Your .bmp link isn't working. You might want to review this: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=271697

    trash,

I can't see the error message because it's a bmp. You need to change it to jpg, gif, or png so it will show up.

Or you can just type out what the error message is.

    I'll check back later.

Let's check a few things, starting at the most likely cause:

    1) It may not like the media. Who manufactured the disks? Are the disks Taiyo Yuden, Princo, or what? Have you been using these disks for a while with no problems, or is this the first time you've tried them?

2)Are any other programs running during burning (even things like anti-virus)?

    3) Is your drive either brand new, or been in use for a long time? Drives do give out. I've got a whole box of them.

It is Verbatim. I have used it couple of times already with no problem before

No. Only ImgTool was still on

So you're using good software, good media, and a youngish drive...but the burn is failing about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through a full disk. I would suspect the media, but people here seem to like Verbatim. I know their dual layer is reliable.

Do you have the full burn log from DvdDecrypter? Maybe there's a clue in there.

Sorry i do not have a full DVD Decrypter log. I dont want to waste another DVD cos it most probably wont work either.

Any other suggestion I would try it again if it is necessary to waste another media inorder to find out what the problem is I would do so

  9. After Googling your drive I found this thread:
    http://www.digital-inn.de/exact-audio-copy-english/26612-problem-matshita-dvd-ram-uj820s.html
They haven't updated the firmware in awhile and it's very picky about media,if you don't use DVD-RAM I would uninstall the DVD-RAM driver...it's worth a try.

I know just what you mean. There's nothing quite so depressing as running a coaster factory. If you don't have a DVD +/- RW disk, this might be a good time to consider getting one. They cost more initially, but can be burned...erased...burned...erased etc. It's good to have one for testing or troubleshooting. If you do have one, you can try another burn, save the burn log, then erase the disk.

Assuming you don't have one right now, you could still do a "Test Mode" burn with DvdDecrypter, and not waste a disk. A "Test Mode" burn will do everything a normal burn would, only omitting the actual burn to the disk. You still have to put a blank dvd in the drive, but it won't be wriiten to. The log from a "Test Mode" burn would show all the information (minus the actual burn part), so it is useful to make sure the problem is not between DvdDecrypter and the drive (versus an actual disk problem). To do a "Test Mode" burn, just put a check in the "Test Mode" checkbox right below the "Destination" box on the main page. You might as well uncheck the "Verify" checkbox right next to it for the "Test Mode" burn.

    WARNING!!!!
Do not do a "Test Mode" burn if your disks are +R. A "Test Mode" burn on a +R is a real burn, and you'll end up with another coaster. Only do a "Test Mode" burn if your disks are -R.

That was the same error my friend got when she tried to use DVDDecrypter after having burns fail with Nero (as suggested by members of this forum). It's in a thread titled 'Trying to help trading partner with burning problem'.

She finally got around her problem by uninstalling some Roxio products that were installed on her computer but she seldom/never used.
