like i said i'm just burning this to cd-r and trying to watch it on my standalone divx player. it makes a loud buzzing sound. when i play the avi file on my computer, there is no sound whatsoever.

the .nfo file that came with the avi says this about the audio:

    Audio Format.........: DOLBY DIGITAL
    Encoder..............: AC3
    Hz...................: 48,000
    Channels.............: 2 Ch Stereo
    Source...............: DVD
MediaInfo says this about the audio:

    160 Kbps, 48 KHz, 2 channels, AC3

If your player isn't attached to an amp with an AC3 decoder, and you have the Dolby Digital being output as a bitstream, you will get this noise. Change the player settings to output Dolby Digital as PCM and you should get normal audio.
