Does anyone know if a web designer, graphic artist, and computer SFX/animators actually earn enough for a living? I'm currently looking for a major and those few are the ones that I'm most interested in. I have a lot of experience creating websites and designing web designs but the thing is if anyone would even hire a web designer since many people can do it themselves nowadays via drag-n-drop.

Computer programming and computer science are probably the ones that will earn more but I'm not a tech person and is hard to maintain my attention over maybe 15 minutes.

Any insight into these (or other) majors would be appreciated.

Take business or at least a couple of courses in it. There are people that make a living in every imaginable job and many that you would never think of.

Attitude, creativity, effort, skill and no doubt luck all play a part in it. I know a couple of guys that have done their own thing and worked for others and back and forth.

Sure. I've known people that make $90,000 or more per year. But I know far more that barely make higher than minimum wage doing it too.

You must run with the same pack that I do

Work is work, thats why it ain't called play time. And even then, you can work your ass off and still get nowhere (trust me on this)

Maybe more important than making the big bucks is living within your means. I see folks living happy on 35 grand and folks that make over a hundred that don't have gas money.

People are still just as dumb as they were back when they didn't have the drag-n-drop website makers.

Plus the fact the drag and drop makers blow donkeys.
