    using windv to convert files on my digital camcorder to avi format. but when i play the avi's they seem all laggy, i guess it has something to do with the framerate. what should i do?

    a dv-avi file has a very high bitrate that may cause laggy playback.

    what is your goal with the dv-avi file? make dvd? or?

    i simply want to burn it to cd-r for playback on a standalone divx player

    convert to the dv-avi file to divx avi with for example autogk, virtualdub, dr.divx.
