    Hi, I have a problem with Ulead VideoStudio 8 SE DVD I use this program to edit a video that is in DivX 4 when I edit the file I don’t get audio and there are squares that appear in the picture, but when i play the original video in a program like Real Player or Windows media player everything is ok with the picture.

    Possibly it has AC3 audio which requires a plug-in if you want to use it with Video Studio 8. The latest version supports it out of the box. Use Gspot to determine what type of audio it is.

    As for the blocks that's called macroblocking and can be caused from a variety of things. Going from a highly compressed format to something else like you are doing is one cause. Make sure you are giving enough bitrate, additionally try using a lower resolution.
