Are there any good, somewhat easy tools out there to make just a menu that I can later use in DVDAuthorgui?

blufftitler might be a good place to start. There are other 3d packages out there that are good as well.
Blender
OpenFX
I typically use my NLE (vegas) to create my motion menus. -

I can see using a photo editor to create a background image and even to layout how the entire menu will look. But, when you are aready to actually turn the image into a real menu, is there a mechanism whereby the authoring program recognizes the buttons as buttons?
Right now I'm using TDA for menu creation and I find it somewhat limiting in terms of customizing a menu.
