ok, so i got an avi file i need to burn to cdr. it's just BARELY to large to fit. i have used virtualdub to cut the credits off the end of the movie. now heres my question. do i have to save it by going to File > Save AVI (and thus wait for it to create a whole new AVI file) or can i somehow just delete the selection off of the end of the existing AVI file so i wont have to wait nearly as long?

you must save as a new file with virtualdub. just be sure to use video->direct stream copy and audio->direct stream copy( to avoid reencoding) and it shouldn't take that long.
