    I read acouple of the guides..but thought I would see if anyone here has a better easier way..?free software available for this..Thanks for any help

    try videora or nero recode, or any other h.246 codec converter will be fine for converting to ipod, i personally use nero recode, but it cost money, videora is your best bet for a free alternative and can be downloaded at http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/download.php

    IF PC I use VSO's product. Very simple one step process after intitial ripping of the complete disk to HD. Ripping to HD allows conversion process to go quicker than from the actual DVD on the fly. Of couorse you will have to run ANyDVD to allow you to go directly from the disk. Just rip first with DVD Fab Decrypter or simmilar tool. My son uses it extensively and has no complains.
    No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

    There are many ipod video converter if you search with google, freeware and shareware, on pc and on mac.
