    How does it compare?

    I've played with it. Seems to handle Flash>H264 a little more reliably than ffmpegX but that may be because I've not selected the appropriate parameters in ffmpegX.

    I prefer the flexibility of ffmpegX for most everything else although I do keep a few other apps in my toolkit. MPEG Streamclip is very useful for mjpeg-b/aiff conversions (of otherwise uncooperative AVIs). Once that's done, ffmpegX is happy to finish the job to H264 with that source.

  3. I agree that ffmpegX is possibly way more flexible than VisualHub. But no one is going to say that configuring ffmpegX is easy and I've found that for many tasks VisualHub is much, much simpler to use.

    Agreed. VisualHub is quite a nice app. I ran another video through it yesterday and am impressed with the quality. (Going to H264 for iPod)
