When I try to load a project which was created with DVDAuthorGUI I get this error message:

    Run-Time Error '9':
    Subscript Out of Range

Can anyone tell me what is causing this and what I can do to correct it and access my project? The file name is "DVDAuthoredGUI Project.dva" and it resides in the folder which contains the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders.

Thanks in advance for your help.

That appears to be a Windows error, not necessarily from DVDAuthorGui. Paraphrased from a Excel site:

The Runtime error 9, Subscript Out of Range may occur if any of the parts have been renamed and therefore the program cannot reference them when processing the output.

The number of independent variables that can be run is limited to 10 in order to maintain reasonable processing times on slower computers.

My take on that is that you may have a naming error in one of the files or the file name has been changed since the project file was created. Check them for unnecessary spaces or odd characters and see if anything is different since you made the project file. This could also occur if you have a corrupted file, but a name change is the main suspect.

I don't think that it's a corrupt file, since this has happened numerous times. I didn't change the name of the project file or the path. At one point, I too thought it was because I had changed the path (which I had at that time - it was a different project than this one). In my research I hadn't found the reference to Excel, thanks for pointing that out. I do have spaces in my path, I can replace those with underscores and see if that makes a difference.

Do you need just the .dva file? Or, should I send the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders also?

Don't edit the paths quite yet. All I need is the project file.

Even though I had version DVDAuthorGUI 1.008b loaded, I was still getting the "Subscript Out Of Range" error. So, to be on the safe side, I removed DVDAuthorGUI from my computer and then redownloaded and installed version 1.008b again.

Solved the problem! Works like a charm.

Thanks to everyone for your help. Wish all solutions were this simple.
