Just recently registered the latest version of ffmpegX and it seems to work very well overall.

However, in trying to convert three VOB files to DV recently, only the first two files worked. The third "VTS_01_3.VOB" file did not convert. ffmpegX actually goes thru the motions of conversion, but almost instantaneously leaving a 0k DV file at the destination. I clicked the "info" icon in the progress app to see this message at the end "Codec type mismatch for mapping #0.0 -> #0.0". Has anyone else run into this problem, and is there a possible solution. The DVD plays fine on its own and I can actually play this VOB file in Mplayer OSX (video and audio play correctly) so I don't understand what the problem could be. BTW, this is not a commercial DVD but, something a friend had created from his own footage and burned to DVD from Windows platform. (If that matters) Also, it will rip to an avi file but without the audio.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

The "invert mapping" enablement did the trick.

    Thanks again for the help.
