    Hi i have a video and it is encrypted, what i want to know is can i remove that encryption?

    Can you clarify what you mean by an "encrypted video" ?

    If you mean you have a video FILE that is password protected, then it's unlikely you can access this.

    If you mean you have a DVD disc which is encrypted - then there are some software devices which can remove the encryption. DVDDecrypter and DVDfabdecypter are 2 such progs.

    no its a video file where u have to have to have some software to play the video, i dont want to get this software and wanted to remove the encryption instead.

    Still not enough info. What software, what video? Most of all, if you do not want to purchase this SW then why do you have the video?

    I'm still confused as to what you mean by encryption ?

    What format is the video file in ? *.avi *.mkv *.other ?? Have you tried converting it to another format ?

    Have you tried playing it in other software players ?
    Try VLCplayer as this plays most stuff.

    The video is in WMV format. I tried converting but when i tried with my converter (xilisoft video converter) it says failed. Also when i play it in vlc player it plays but its all blotchy and pixelated and unwatchable

    It has DRM protection. It is possible in come circumstances, but not easy. If you search for DRM and remove, you should find answers. Google is probably your best bet.
