  1. Hi all,

I just got done capturing something from my DVR. I am using one of those dazzle things with pinnacle studio 10. This is the second time this happens. I have had no problems capturing files in any format but when I do capture in MP4 AND the length of capture is say 2 hours or so the output file appears to be corrupt. Not I have deleted the original recording and needless to say I REALLY do not want to loose this. I called the useless customer support who told me to check my wires and other crap like that.

The file was captured, I was even watching it being captured on the pc. There seems to be a problem with large files/long captures. anyone know what the problem might be or how I could possibly fix the file.

Not playing in Vlan and quicktime tells me its not a video file and so does covertxtodvd...

Thanks in advance for any help..

Maybe try gspot? Make sure it reads properly in the codec program?

Or you could load it into virtualdub. Check for errors.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I'm not saying you are newbie or something like this, but is the HD you are capturing at a FAT32 file system? Maybe when the file is around 2 hours it reaches the size limit for FAT32 partitions and it bugs.
If it's not the case try All Media Fixer, maybe it helps on something.

Windows XP uses NTFS natively, so file size should not be the problem.

Unless the person who installed XP selected FAT32 when creating the partitions.
