  1. hi i've created my first SVCD and i pld it on my Sony DVP-NS700V but the playback isn't smooth and i was wondering wat setting i need to adjust in TMPGEnc-2.50 to make it run smoother

    Source aspect ratio: 16:9 525 line (ntsc)
    Full Screen (keep aspect ratio)

    i'm trying to convert divx film to svcd
    what i need to change for smoother playback?

  4. What's the audio playback like - does it drop in and out but still remain in sync witht the video?

    If so, I'd suggest lowering your encode CBR to something around 2000 (or even lower).
    Your player may not be up to the task of such a high CBR.

  5. the audio seems to be alright, tis a NTSC film does that mean i ave to set the frame rate to 29.97?
    even tho the film runs @ 23.976 when i ply it on my pc

  6. Yes 29.97 is a must in SVCD playback. You will can either encode in 23.96 fps with "2:3 pulldown when playback" option set or encode in 29.97 fps.
