    I was wondering if it is possible to burn a dvd movie, with a regular cd-rom. Because when the dvd is in the drive it is not able to read it. If this is at all possible, what would I need? Where can I get it? How do I do it? Let me know the works...I am a newbie and have no idea. PLEASE HELP ME. Thanks a lot people.

    It requires a special hardware burner to burn a DVD. These are currently quite expensive as is the media you need to burn a DVD.

    CD drives do not read DVD for a very good reason... DVDs are NOT CD based media.

    You will need a DVD-ROM drive in your PC to be able to read DVDs.
