    hi, i put the video clips i captured with my digital camera (casio exilim 850) and i tried editing it with sony vegas but for some reason there is no video showing. i am able to import it into the software but there is no video. how could i check compatible formats? do i need to convert? any help please.

    it is probably mjpeg. Try using SUPER to convert it to DV or losslessly compressed avi and loading that. Avicodec will be able to confirm the codecs used to create it.

    Looks like it uses: Movies: AVI (MPEG-4) Audio: WAV

    I would try SUPER also to convert it to another format.

    *UPDATE alright i got it working by converting it to wmv...one last question, where is the option of converting it to DV?

    What program are you using to convert it? If it's SUPER, select AVI for the container and try HuffyUV for the codec and see if Vegas accepts that and skip WMV entirely. At least in my version of SUPER, DV is not a option for encoding to.

    If you can load it into WMM then you can output DV
