    Hi everybody,

Ok i was told by an Apple store person that the reason I was having difficulty playing major league baseball live streaming audio on my PB G4 10.4.7 was that Windows media player was no longer being developed for mac. So yesterday I downloaded and installed from mactopia.com the flip4mac aapplication and lo and behold was able to listen to the live streaming audio without any trouble. Today was horrible, however. Whereas before Windows media player was the backbone of the mlb mediaplayer, now quicktime is. Windows media player, when it was the principle plugin for the mlb media player, at least allowed me to listen to archived games, if not very easily the live streaming audio. So I was thinking about deleting and reinstalling the flip4mac web based plugin. First of all, where is it installed. There was a folder labeled Internet plugins in Library; however, it had nothing in it, even though spotlight pointed to it as the keeper of the flip4mac.plugin file. I deleted the flip4mac player in applications as well and reinstalled the aplication, still to no avail. Can any body please help me with this situation?

    Thanks,

    Tab

    My Flip4Mac copy came with a Flip4Mac WMV Uninstaller.pkg to un-install it.

It is in Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins.

Yes, thank you. However, that folder, according to finder, had 0 bytes of information in it. How could that be? In any case, using the unistaller package, I was able to uninstall fli4mac. I still don't understand, though, why I could not stream audio from MLB audio. Is it because this is media that one purchases and is copyrighted?

I think you are getting confused by these two locations:

    Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins

    and

    Macintosh HD/Users/Your Home/Library/Internet Plug-ins

You are right. I suppose I have been looking in the wrong location. Both Library folders, however, have the same icon on them. Is there any connection at all between the two libraries?

    Thank you.

If it's a DRM-protected stream, perhaps. I don't think any of the methods for playing Windows Media on a Mac support DRM, IIRC.

The difference between both Libraries is that one is system wide and the other is just for one account.
