I'm trying to create a DVD of a tv series. The episodes are only 20 minutes long each (6 episodes) so I whould be able to get them onto one DVD. When I try to convert from AVI to DVD with TMPGENC, each episode is so large that I'd only get one on a standard DVD. How can I encode my AVI files into DVD format so tha I don't lose too much quality? I did think about just connecting my computer to my DVD recorder but my computer doesn't have an S-video or any other video output socket.

this is no dvd to dvdr backuping. moving you.

did you use the wizard mode in tmpgenc to adjust the output size so it will fit? 2 hours /dvd should look okey.

or try use something else like convertxtodvd and add all avis and convert. it is much faster than tmpgenc and pretty good quality.

Sorry about posting in the wrong place.

I used the wizard with TMPGENC but I am converting each episode individually as the fan on my computer goes into overdrive and I don't like to be encoding for too long. Is it possible to just set TMPGENC to encode each episode to a maximum size of 700MB? Will the programme then just set the resolution and bitrate accordingly?

Use this and you can figure out your bitrate based on the total minutes of your episodes
