    He means that not every software can run on a simple computer...so you should give us your computer specs. and maybe I'll know what to offer

    There are hardware mpeg2 capture cards, others use software. It also depends what you want to do with the capture (edit...).

    Thanks everyone for your great help. My PC is a HD Media Center.
    I would like for example to record the news edition of CNN, or a realplayer stream video etc.

    I dunno if it's the best, but the powerproducer from cyberlink is quite good for recording TV...And remember you need to have your TV-antenna connected to your computer...
