  1. Freinds

    I have to burn a file and the way to burn it is something like, and I quote:-
    +++++++++++++++++snip+++++++++++++++++++++
    "Burn in a120, burn with rmps checked, install DT4 with
    vdrives disabled, and enable rmps emulation in DT4.
    alternative option is mounting the image with Daemon-Tools
    with securom loader."
    ++++++++++++++end snip+++++++++++++++++++++

    I took for the 2nd option[seemed less complicated],being namely 'mounting the image with Daemon-Tools with securom loader.'

    My issue is:-
    I have the file(to burn) as a '*.mdf' and '*.mds' format.
    I have installed Daemon tools 4.03HE(C)DT soft ltd.

    What now to do

    is there anyone who can tell me step-wise(idiot proof) 'how' and 'what' to do from here.

    Thanks for any clarification.

    Kind Regards

  2. Folks

    in the mean time I think I made some progress.
    I can 'mount the image' from daemon tools and point to the *.mds file. after this the Win explorer shows the icon of the software being installed. I installed the software. so far so good.
    while starting up the software, it detects 'emulation software' running . so I went and did 'unmount all drives' from 'daemon tools'. this time while starting up ,the software says 'no disc found, insert the right disc'.
    so basically I am in a chicken-& egg situation.

    [ b.t.w In the 'emulation' option of 'daemon tools', I have checked all the options[safedisc, securom,laserlosk, rmps]. In a previous attempt , only 'securom' was checked on...but no joy.]

    some help here would be really appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    What you want to do is mount the image as instructed, then open your favorite burning program and do a disc copy using the virtual drive with the mounted image as your source disc. Or you could use Alcohol 120% and burn the image without mounting it at all.

  4. Thanks!

    and if I would use alcohol 120, what should the following mean to me "install DT4 with
    vdrives disabled, and enable rmps emulation in DT4. "

    Alcohol should take care of everything for you. You shouldn't have to worry about that.
