Recently, I've ripped two Dvds. One had an aspect ratio of 4:3 and the other had one of 16:9. After following Sefy's Dvd ripping guide, the rip of the 4:3 plays just fine as an xsvcd Mpeg2 352x240 CBR 2000. The 16:9 was compressed using Mpeg2 352x240 CBR 1964. When I play the movie it looks ok for a while then the video will get slow and then speed up and then get choppy but the audio will keep playing alright. The messed-up video is never in the same spot. I've made xsvcd's from tv captures using the same compression template and they play perfectly fine.
I'm using Nero 5.5.23 and my dvd player is an apex-500w with the newest bios.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this weird problem?
