I am using AVI2DVD to convert divx avi's to DVD, and want to use the mpeg files that it creates (i think they are temporary working files) rather than the VoB files, however sometimes it seems to remove the mpg files when other times it leaves them. Does anyone know why?
The reason I want to use the mpg files is that I am trying to convert several different files and then use TMPGEnc DVD Author to create the DVD.
I am doing it this way as some of the files have different aspect ratios which gives me an error if I try to join them together within AVI2DVD. If there is a way to do this within AVI2DVD then that would be a better way.

Just fish them out of the recycle can when it's done.

    no, i don't know why.

but have you tried use the import dvd-video function in tda? instead of just open vob files you select add dvd video and choose the video_ts folder with vob files.

Thanks Baldrick, I hadn't realised that tda had that option.

Actually, I usually use TMPGEnc to convert AVI's to MPEG's to import into tda, however for some reason, these divx AVI's have not been converting properly.

The MPEG's play OK on my PC, however when I burn them as a DVD through tda, the final DVD has a slight stutter, which makes it annoying to watch.

Do you have any idea why they get this stutter?

Dang, I forgot, I have Norton installed and I use Norton Recover automatically, sorry. THAT saves the deleted files.
