  1. Hi guy's well good news the vodei workaround is done I have done 5 vodei files using this and works fine.
First you will need VMware server from hxxp://www.vmware.com/ this a virtual machine you install on your PC and then load with an operating system and codecs and tools required for the task as in hxxp://www.vladd44.com/video/vodei.php BUT DONT LOAD VODEI when you have all of the tools and codecs loaded and working make a copy of the virtual machines folder maybe to DVD so it can be easily reloaded ok now copy the file to the virtual machine and then install vodie in the virtual machine then run the "If you want to reencode it without the Vodei garbage" method or you can try this one hxxp://www.vladd44.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=7808 when you start getting the nag screen let current encodeing finish and extract finished file from virtual machine then close it and delete the folder and copy it back from where you saved it for a fresh run.
Will try and create a guide but there is plenty of info on the V M Ware site and the others here so most should be able to find their way. the whole beauty of this is the vodei crap dosent infest your PC only the virtual machine and you just delat it and copy back.

Were these links inactivated on purpose or do they just go nowhere from the start?

  4. Hi vidpod, It is my understanding that certain hot links are not alowed and therefore the HXXP it's pretty obvious that i't should be http and yes these links are valid. If you need help or further info just holler.

Also you don't need to copy your virtual machine anywhere. Use the snapshot feature. Take a snapshot of your virtual system before you install the questionable codec and then revert to it when you are done, better yet set your virtual computer(s) to revert when you power then off.
