  1. Does anyone know what the Pulldown Option does in CCE SE?

My video is in PAL, and I want to encode it to MPEG-2 to put it on a DVD.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I may be wrong, but I believe it's used for video that's got a framerate of 23.976 fps and is being encoded to MPEG with a framerate of 29.97 fps (the numbers might not be spot on). Ticking the "pulldown" flag in any encoder, again "I believe", does something to the frames to get from 23.976 to 29.97 fps.

As these numbers only relate to NTSC material, and you have PAL, I'd say you could ignore it.

This is from the glossary - the link is in the top left of the page.

There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

  3. Yeah, daamon has it right. PAL doesn't use pulldown.
