  1. viewable on my high definition TV in 16:9?

    The video is 16:9 1440x1080

I would just burn it to a DVD in 1440x1080 and see if the date and time is viewable on my TV but DVD can't go that high and there is no HD DVD.

    Any suggestions?

  4. Just do as Baldrick suggested. I assume the date/time is permanently embedded on the video. Downconvert the video to DVD (720x480) 16:9 aspect, and play this back at 16:9 on your TV. If the date/time shows fine, the 1440x1080 file will be okay too.
