  1. Hi, I'm having a slight issue with a project I'm working on.

I decided to splice a bunch of FMVs from the PSX game Fear Effect into a cohesive movie. However, I am also using some in game footage with it, and it seems to be at a lower sampling rate.

Using VirtualDub to put these avi files together always gives me an error telling me one sampling rate is lower than the others.

    How can I fix this?

I can post the videos if needed.

BTW, my Avis are encoded with divx at the Home Theater profile

    Thanks!

i posted with the same problem in the noob section. From what i can figure the problem is specificly the video sample rate. One part of the video is 12 and another 16. Nero dosent like to burn this and virtual dub dosent like to join them.

VirtualDub will only join if everything is the same about the two (or more) videos - video must be the same frame size and frame rate, and audio must be the same frequency and sample rate. So if you must join, you're pretty much left with re-encoding all videos the exact same specs, or taking your chances with one of the (less reliable) AVI joiners out there. One I used to use ages ago was called Peck's Power Join, and IIRC it used to do a pretty fair job with most sources. You may be able to find it on google.
    If in doubt, Google it.
