    could someone tell me how this is done, converting iso to one of these formats -- even vob if possible??

    extract the content from iso archive first using for example isobuster or daemon tools. then tell us what files you see.

    ISO is just an image file, so what you need to do to convert depends on what is inside the image.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    zipgeniuos can also rip file's from iso ... get a free zip program that dose more .
